  13. Why do I need this program?
  14.  
  15.   If you work with PasTeX and you don't have enough disk space,
  16.   you might have only the pk-files you really need on your harddisk.
  17.  
  18.   Here helps this program, together with the MARK option of
  19.   ShowDVI and DVIprint. Start ShowDVI and DVIprint always
  20.   with the MARK option (put it into ENVARC:SHOWDVI and 
  21.   ENVARC:DVIPRINT) and the drivers will mark every font they
  22.   used with an use-count and a date-stamp.

  24.   After some time, if you want get rid of old, seldom used fonts,
  25.   start "lsfont TeX:pk TO ram:fontlist" and look into the generated
  26.   list. The first number is the use count. So often is the font
  27.   used from a driver (started with MARK).

  29.   If you want delete some fonts of the list, do 
  30.   "lsfont TeX:pk TO ram:fontlist DELETE" and edit the file (delete all
  31.   fonts out of the file which you *don't* want delete from your
  32.   harddisk). After that, you can "execute ram:fontlist" delete the
  33.   old fonts.

  35.   Other idea to use the list:
  36.   Do copy the fonts first on some floppy-disks and delete them after
  37.   that from the hard-disk. Now, if you put your backup floppies into
  38.   TeX:config/FontVols, the drivers will find them on your floppies.
